What to expect on your first visit

A group lesson introduces a small set of skills; a social is open practice and dancing, not a private lesson. Arrive before the published start so you can check in and tell the teacher you are new.

• Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that let you move without gripping the floor too much. Ask the venue about its shoe policy.
• Check whether the class requires a partner, registration or a particular level. Partner policies differ between organizers.
• Start with the beginner or foundations level. You can watch intermediate material rather than feeling obliged to join.
• Ask before dancing, respect a “no,” and keep unfamiliar dips or lifts off the social floor.
• Check the actual date, venue and price through the listing’s organizer links. A normal weekly schedule may have a holiday or workshop exception.

Prescott Ballroom’s Monday Foxtrot and Waltz classes are listed as beginner-friendly, and Bee’s Knees publishes Country Swing Fundamentals. Ronnie’s party is a dated Nov 21 event, not a weekly promise. BeatMob is one Wednesday a month, but no exact upcoming date is posted in this export; it is not shown as a calendar event.
